Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev secured his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has endured a difficult year, managing just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt after March of that year.
Success also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, including in that event in the past months.
The player's defensive play style and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had prompted some to doubt if his skill to play at the top level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete assertively, reinforced by an better serving game.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He rescued 4 early chances in a close third set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he secured the win with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
